Paris Dakar 2004

For the 2004 Paris Dakar Ido Off Road center prepared 2 Mitsubishi Pagero King vehicles. In the process the vehicles were stripped completely and reassembled in order to strengthen the vehicles structure, insert an internal safety roll cage and to allow the installment of an enhanced suspension system.

This years 26 Dakar race consisted of racing through 11,000 km from Norborne in France to the sea shore in Dakar in two weeks time. This year's race was extremely difficult; out of 142 competitors on the start line in the cars category only 60 reached the finish line.

The I.R.T car no' 295 (in the above picture) consisting of Mr Ido Cohen as the driver and Mr Aviv Spektor as the navigator won 1st place in the T1 diesel category of the Paris Dakar.
